Sooner Express Kennel is one of the largest breeders of Elhew Pointers in the country. For over twenty years we have been committed to breeding and developing class gundogs for the foot hunter. Time has proven our dogs are very capable of adapting to the various terrains and conditions under which they are hunted. The are biddable enough to hunt in the grouse woods and tough enough to endure the cactus in Texas. They have proven themselves in the desert country of the Southwest and certainly have the heart to cover the vast prairies of Montana.
Our "Reference Dogs" section highlights some of the Elhew Pointers we hold in high regard. These dogs include Dunn's Fearless Bud, Elhew Fibber McGee, Elhew Distinction, Elhew Sea Wolf, Hook's Bounty Hunter, Elhew Strike, Elhew Striking Kiwi and Elhew Mr. McGoo. You'll find that our puppies can trace their roots back to these great Elhew Pointers.
For years we have hunted and trained dogs on one of the best ranches for wild birds in the country. We have always believed that if we do not develop our dogs on wild birds we cannot be sure we are breeding dogs with better bird finding ability. Sure, we breed for brains, style, confirmation and bidability. However, if they don't develop into strong bird finders, we feel we have fallen short of our goal. With every litter we raise, our mission is to produce dogs that will be better than the last generation. This attitude combined with the right breeding stock, has worked for us for a long time.
We take great pride in the relationships we have built with many of our customers. Repeat business is a key ingredient to any establishment. Some of our customers have been doing business with us for over twenty years. In fact, some of our current business is from the offspring of our earlier customers. While most of our finished dogs go to fill standing orders, we do try to maintain a nice selection of quality pups and started dogs.
A small deposit will reserve a pup on a first come basis. We ship from Oklahoma City to anywhere in the country. We have a number of brood matrons not listed on our website. So give us a call so that we can reserve your pup today!
